nice collection.
July 17, 2008 7:27 PMThe one about Give Way to Penguins? I have actually seen that (or a very similar one) sign IRL and it makes a whole lot of sense when you see where it is put.
July 20, 2008 5:08 AMThe penguins breeding area is on one side of a (rural, not busy) road and the beach is on the other. All the locals know about it and actually do stop to give way.
I'm in Tasmania btw.
The one with the cows falling off the cliff is common on the Shoreline Highway between San Francisco and Fort Bragg. It's all farming country and the Highway is an unfenced 2-lane on the side of a cliff, so it's common for cows to lose their footing and fall.
July 26, 2008 1:45 AMThose are really great!
July 26, 2008 7:10 AMI took the last one. DQ on Spring Mountain Road, Las Vegas. Manager came out to see what I was doing. I said, "I'm making you famous."
July 27, 2008 12:36 PMOK - this one is retouched but the sign is genuine Heavy plant crossing
July 30, 2008 7:43 AMHere are two I came across a while ago...
